Description:Summary: Writes specifications, designs, builds, tests and implements computer applications using programming languages and development tools.
Duties:Essential Duties: In a team environment, establishes detailed program specifications through discussion with clients and clarifies precisely what actions the program is intended to perform. Breaks down program specification into its simplest elements and translates the logic into a programming language. Evaluates alternatives and devises possible solutions to identified business needs. Combines all elements of the program design and tests it. Tests sample data-sets to check that output from the program works as intended. Evaluates the program’s effectiveness and reacts to problems and corrects the program as necessary. Installs the program and conducts final testing. Conducts user acceptance testing to ensure the program can be used easily, quickly, accurately and meets specifications. Increases program operating efficiency and adapts to new requirements, as necessary. Assists with writing user documentation.
Qualifications:Requirements: • Four year degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field • 3-5 years of custom software development experience extensively using C#, ASP.NET, and Silverlight. • Experience with:  Agile software development environment  Microsoft SharePoint 2007 services, with the ability to develop .NET components and administer users  Setup of workflow solutions using Windows Workflow Foundation  .NET Framework to include .NET 3.0+ functionality  Windows 2008 and SQL Server 2005/2008 platforms, including database development  XMAL  Experience with HTML, JavaScript, AJAX and ASP.NET technologies  Design patterns  Structuring LINQ statements  SQL Server views, triggers, and stored procedures • Proficiency in use of MS products, including Word, Outlook, Excel, Visio, and MS Project • Strong analytical, design, and problem-solving skills. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Demonstrated ability to work well in a collaborative team environment. • Proven ability to identify, estimate, and manage tasks needed to complete work.
