| Description: | Summary:
Supports end-users by responding to telephone calls, emails, or in-person requests for technical assistance. Identifies, researches and resolves a variety of technical issues associated with application programs, hardware and software
Approximate hours per week; 15 to 20 |
| Duties: | Essential Duties:
• Assist with ticket tracking, resolution, and notification through Microsoft Sharepoint ticketing system
• Maintains inventory of all monitors, laptops, servers, and other IT equipment
• Monitors servers, the Internet and laptops for performance, and provides necessary statistics
• Monitors/assists with user back-up activities
• Assists users with laptop/workstation issues that may be hardware, network or software related.
• Sets up/resets/deletes users and computers in Active Directory
• Assists with new hire setup of software/hardware/networking needs
• Maintains existing technical documentation and assists in the creation of new technical documentation as required

| Qualifications: | Requirements:
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate and present complex issues and analyses in an effective manner, to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Good organizational and time-management skills and the ability to identify, estimate, and manage tasks needed to complete work
• Experienced working with MS Office suite of products and able to troubleshoot user issues
• Working knowledge of installation and maintenance of Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 2003 and 2007 Server operating systems
• Experience in network concepts and technologies (TCP/IP, switches and network printers)
• Experience with networking computers in an Active Directory environment
• Ability to build, diagnose, and/or repair computer systems, services, and general office equipment
• Familiarity with servers, server administration, user administration and backups
• Technical knowledge of PC/laptop hardware
• Knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards
Physical Requirements & Environment Conditions:
Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds; must be able to bend, lift and stoop; requires vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
